Florida Housing believes that an adequate supply of affordable housing is the foundation of healthy communities. Living in decent housing provides a safe environment and an opportunity for people to hold jobs, succeed in school and contribute to their communities. To find housing opportunities, people with special housing needs or their service providers have several resources available to them within Florida Housing Finance Corporation.

    Attention Homeowners

The “Housing Finance Agency Innovation Fund for the Hardest-Hit Housing Markets” (HFA Hardest-Hit Fund) is a recent program developed by the U.S. Treasury as a means to provide meaningful financial support for families in the nation’s hardest-hit housing markets.

Florida Housing will administer the program in Florida. The main focus of this strategy is to help unemployed/underemployed homeowners sustain and keep their homes by extending the period of time homeowners need to become re-employed at a salary that is sufficient to either resume making full mortgage payments or to qualify for a mortgage modification.
