Cesar E. Calvet is the immediate past Chairman of Florida Housing's Board of Directors. He is also Senior Vice President and General Manager of Grupo Bancario Latino for SunTrust Bank, Central Florida, where he has worked in numerous capacities since beginning as a teller in 1968. Mr. Calvet presently coordinates the Latin Market and International Private Banking services for SunTrust and has, over the years, served on many boards and commissions in the Orlando area, including the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, the Valencia Community College Foundation, and Metro Orlando International Affairs Commission. He is also currently serving on the Board of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida and has served on the Florida Housing Board since December 2000.
